My Story In 2005 I “inherited” my first Norwegian elkhound as a favor to a family member that was relocating. It only took me about 2 days to realize there was something very special about this dog. I have never been so happy to have an animal in my life as I have been with Trudy. She is the most intelligent, wonderful, family oriented dog you can imagine. This breed is the best ever and now my love has carried me into a family of 6 elkies. I have become a hobby breeder of Norwegian Elkhounds as I know there must be others out there like me that want this breed but unable to obtain one. First and foremost they are my pets but if I can help others to have an elkhound as part of their family, I want to do that. I hope you come to love your elkie, as I have mine… All 6 of them. |
